Trixie Tuesday: Say Hello To My Little Furs

Well, hello, Trixie. Are you guarding the yard from squirrels?

“No. I’m taking a little break in the shade.”

A break? I didn’t know you ever took breaks.

“YOU try being alpha dog for those two crazy vizslas without taking breaks.  Let me know how it goes.”

I see your point.  And what about all the tufts of fur?

IMG_5699

“I’m pretty sure that the stress of being alpha for the vizslas is making my hair fall out.”

It is?

“Not really.  Dada was out here with the undercoat rake ‘harvesting raw material for bird nests’, he says.”

Well, it’s nice of him to help the birds.

“Hmph.  I can see their nests under the eaves from here.  Trespassing feathered evil perpetrators.”

All right, I’ll let you get back to your break. How much longer will it last?

"It's over."

“It’s over.”

  1. To the beautiful Trixie: Remember, dear girl, there is always Minniesnowda to visit for as long as you want to. Just hop on the bus, and you can be here in a couple of days!

    Your pal,
    Stella

  2. Wow now the birds can have a skyscraper-nest with all this fluffy fur. Have a great Trixie-Tuesday :o)

  3. We know that watchdogs never really rest. They are like a stretched rubber band.

  4. A watchgirl’s work is never done! Jan raked Merci’s coat the other day and left huge tufts of it in the back yard for the birds.

  5. Doing watch work can be really tiring Trixie. You should be given MORE breaks! We hope that all is well with you and your pack. Sorry we have not been around as much as we want.

    We do love your photos.

    Love,
    Piappies Mom
Fudgie, Princess, Frappie, Mocha, Sugar, Wai-Max, Wai-Pai and Forgie

  6. Wow. That’s a lot of left over fur. At least you aren’t donating it to the evil-long-eared-rodents, uh, bunny rabbits. (We may or may not have a slight bunny rabbit problem; we have tried to take of the problem ourselves but apparently one bunny corpse was one bunny corpse too many for our Mom…) *ahem* Trixie, you seriously deserve a break from the boys. We vote you send them on a Grand Adventure while you relax in the shade.

  7. Trixie, I can see your work is never done. Rest when you can

  8. Well someone has to keep those boys under control

Stop on by for a visit

  9. Wow you do have a hard life!! I thought it was bad enough having on little bruva!

  10. So good of you to help out the birds, Trixie. I am sure your furs make a much loftier nest lining than V furs. A big wad of my furs was left out on the deck last week and disappeared rather quickly.

  11. Just stopping by to wish you a Happy 4th and to thank you for your kindness and friendship. Hope Tucker is doing well.

We want to thank you so very much for your kind words of comfort and friendship after our very sudden loss of Thunder. We are all still very sad, but the support and love from all of our friends from all over the world is helping to heal our broken hearts. We are sure that Thunder Dunder is now in a very happy place and also very thankful to have so many wonderful friends.

Woos – Phantom, Ciara, Lightning, and Mom Kathie

  12. Poor Trixie! Maybe Sam and you can go on a vacation together. He needs a break from his younger siblings…

    Sam

  13. Hey Trixie!
Wow, great job with the alpha duties! I bet you are dog tired. My Mom does that rake thing too, then chuckles as the birdies fly away with it. I think that’s a little creepy, personally, but what do I know. I bet our fur tickles their beaks! BOL
    Grr and Woof,
    Sarge, COP

  14. LOL! And I thought brushing Leah was bad. :-)

  15. It won’t be long before those furballs come to life and become more evil hamsters. the spirit of Maggie the Vizsla

  16. lol Life at your house is never boring. lol :) Have fun.
