From the Vizsla Rescue mailing list:

Vizsla Rescue has a vizsla mix in the foster program that they’re having trouble placing because, yes, she’s a mix. She is currently being fostered by a couple that has had Vizsla for 40 years and they say she is the nicest dog they have had. She is bigger than a Vizsla and has shorter ears, but she is a love and the man who has her has been doing all kinds of obedience with her. She is in San Clemente. She was walking in the street in Riverside and a woman rescued her. She is well behaved and potty trained. Her age is unknown, but she is young. She is a real cuddler.

The man who is fostering Daisey is very ill and can no longer take care of her. Vizsla Rescue needs to find a foster or forever home for her ASAP. She has been in foster for 4 weeks and is a great dog. If anyone can help, please contact Vizsla Rescue.

You don’t have to be a purebred to be a good dog. Just ask Trixie.

Vizsla Rescue Foster Homes Needed

Posted by jamesviscosi on December 13, 2007

So yesterday we got a note from California Vizsla Rescue that there are currently 14(!) vizslas here in southern California that are in need of foster homes and/or adoption; evidently Thanksgiving and Christmas are prime dog-dumping season.  We have our hands full with Dennis at the moment (as you may have noticed) so we can’t really take on a foster right now.  If anyone reading this is in California or even Nevada or Arizona and is in a position to take on a dog as a foster or adoptee, please visit the VCNC web site to get in touch with the vizsla rescue group.

I promise, not all foster dogs will wreck your house like Dennis.  But if they do, at least you can blog about it.
